I’m New Here

What time are your services?
Our service is on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am. Each service lasts about an hour and is followed by Fellowship time. Christian Education classes for all ages begin at 10:30 am.

Do I have to be a member to come?
Absolutely not. All are welcome.

What should I wear?
Dress is casual. God looks on the heart, not a person’s clothes so please wear what is comfortable for you.

Is there something for my kids?
Definitely! Children are always welcome to worship with their families at our services; however, arrangements have been made for those with shorter attention spans. A paid nursery attendant is on duty for infants and preschoolers and children up to 3rd grade may participate in Children’s Church during the sermon. We offer fun Christian Education classes for children from nursery through high school following the worship service.

What is your music like?
Our music is contemporary in nature. We have a worship team consisting of vocalists, a pianist, guitarists, and a drummer.

Am I welcome to take communion?
All Christians are welcome to take Communion with us. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated during worship on the first Sunday of each month.

How does one become a member?
Becoming a member here means that you officially identify with the mission and values of First Presbyterian Church of Golden. If you are interested, we offer Inquirers classes periodically where those interested in joining our church can get to know one another and have their questions answered. New members are then accepted on a profession of faith and baptism, transfer from another church, or reaffirmation of faith before the Session of Elders.

If you have further questions, please feel free to call our church office at (303) 279-5591 and speak with our administrative assistant, Nylene Haun.
