First Presbyterian Youth
Here at First Presbyterian, we hope to create within our Youth a supportive community of students that goes beyond our church walls. We pursue this through investing in our students’ lives and coming alongside them in everyday life. We encourage our students’ relationship with God through Sunday School, fellowship at Youth Nights, seeking deeper at Bible study, one-on-one discipleship, yearly mission trips, and serving others in our community. We believe that Youth Ministry is more than just getting students to show up on Sundays. It is about sharing in their lives and helping them seek God every step of the way.
Every Wednesday evening at First Presbyterian from 6:30-8:00 pm we have Youth Night. This is a time of food, fellowship, games and laughter. This event is for both high school and middle school students. Please be sure to check our Youth Calendar as our schedule can change periodically.
We have Sunday School classes every Sunday morning starting at 10:30 am for middle school and high school students. These classes typically run from September through the end of May with a break for summer.
Our Youth participate in monthly service projects in Golden and surrounding communities such as serving dinner to the homeless at the Denver Rescue Mission, packing clothes to send to people in need at World Vision, and helping those in need in our church community. Be sure to check our Youth Calendar for upcoming opportunities for both middle school and high school students.
We have annual Mission Trips which have taken us to Haxtun, Colorado and Nicaragua.
If you would like to get more information on our various Youth opportunities, please contact our Director of Youth Ministry, Andrew Osten.
