Spiritual Formation for All Ages

Winter Spiritual Formation Classes
January 4 – March 15

Minor Prophets.
This class explores the twelve “Minor Prophets” of the Old Testament—shorter prophetic books that carry profound messages about God’s character, covenant faithfulness, justice, and mercy. Though called “minor” because of their length, these prophets were entrusted with major tasks: calling God’s people to repentance, offering hope in times of crisis, confronting injustice, and pointing toward the hope of God’s ongoing work of restoration. Throughout the course, we will read each prophetic book with care, considering its historical context, key themes, and theological insights. We will also spend intentional time reflecting on how these ancient writings speak into our spiritual lives today, shaping our understanding of God, challenging our assumptions, and forming us into people of deeper faith, compassion, and holiness.

In Search of God’s Will.
Our personal calling is dynamic, ever-evolving, and always moment-to-moment; therefore, the quest to discern God’s will is an ongoing adventure. Often, we can struggle to know what God really wants us to do -- moment-by-moment or in the “big” decisions of our lives.  Blessedly, we are not alone in this struggle. Wise spiritual mentor Trevor Hudson has written a book entitled In Search of God’s Will: Discerning a Life of Faithfulness and Purpose and created a video series we will use in our journey of discernment.

One Day at a Time: A 12-Step Journey.
Join us on a journey of spiritual renewal through the lens of the 12 Steps, guided by Trevor Hudson’s inspiring video series and his book One Day at a Time: Discovering the Freedom of the 12-Step Spirituality. Hudson offers a hopeful and grace-filled vision: that real change is possible—and that the 12 Steps provide a sacred rhythm for partnering with God in our healing and transformation. Whether you’re navigating worry, stress, addictive or compulsive behaviors, challenging relationships, or guilt and regret, this class offers a compassionate and welcoming space for reflection, growth, and renewal. As Dallas Willard once wrote, “The famous 12 steps, including a conscious involvement of God in the individual’s life, are highly effective in bringing about personal transformation.” If you’re new to the 12 Steps or returning with a fresh perspective, you’re warmly invited to grow with us—one day at a time.
